Pre Week 2’s Friday Night

It’s now Friday, and I just completed my second workout for the week. (Last week I only completed 2 as well), but I wanted to share with you the plan’s core philosophy, and why I am happy even though I’ve only gotten in 4 workouts a week. Strength workouts x 3 days a week Squats Deadlifts Bench Press Military Presses PLUS - we’ll hit on that later Cardio and core x 2 days a week Hike/Mow lawn/abs/core/Bike/Treadmill That’s it most of it all, and I’m charting everything on my phone in Strong , an app available on the App Store (about 20 bucks a year). I hate the subscription fee, but everything is a subscription now a days, and I think this is the best one I’ve used after experimenting with many. Anyways- I’m tired. This full body routine is taking a lot out of me. Work has been crazy, and I am again drinking whiskey, smoking cigarettes, and am about to go to sleep, but I wanted to post on here because I am happy about something. It is week 2, and I’m still going. If I was

Day 3

Yesterday, I skipped working out as it was my day off, and got drunk after work. I stopped by 711 and ate 2 taquitos on my way home. I missed dinner with my boyfriend because of it. Today I got back in the swing of things and did a great full body. The only thing that was lacking was core because I planned on doing core on my off days. I feel good about my workout. I came home and cooked a meal for tomorrow. Easy - ground turkey with mushrooms, onions, and spices, with a bag of cauliflower rice. I had a post workout shake. And now I’m finishing up the bag of popcorn chicken - which is not on the plan, but hey. Like I said, we’re still pre day 1.

Something feels different

Hey everyone! It’s day one. Maybe before the initial day one, but follow along with me. I’m in my garage drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes after work, but I’m kind of excited because something changed today. I’ve always been an on again off again get fit gym guy. I’ve spent years doing full body splits, have missed a day, and could never find the rhythm again. Anyways, today I packed my gym clothes (actually they’ve been in my work bag for over a month), but I finally took the exit on the way home to go to the gym. I tried something different, and I my body feels different than it ever has on my first day back. I think the reason is I did a full body workout routine. Seattle and backpacking in the North Cascades is 3 weeks away. Burning Man is just a couple weeks after that. I can’t be totally healthy with all of the gluttony headed my way, but maybe I can look a little bit more like the shirtless guys on Instagram #Burningman I’m tipsy. Who knows if this is a drunken escapad
